Are you guys getting your DHs a gift for father's day? This will be Nathan's first. I don't want to go all out (it's not like we have the $ for it anyway) but I want to do something small and special because he is a great daddy. Any ideas?
Hey ladies! I am definitely getting a fathers day gift for Barry...its his first fathers day:) Barry gave me a locket for Mothers day so I am going to do something nice for him. I am surprising him with a getaway to the NC Mountains...I have arranged for a sitter and everything and he has no idea about any of it!!! We will of course be back on Fathers Day to spend the day as a family with Jada...but a nice escape is always nice:)
But some gift ideas I thought about are a photo calendar of he and Jada, or a massage gift certificate.
Also another gift idea that is inexpensive is a collage of Nathan and Nathan Jr. That is something he will always have and be able to see the similarities between them:)
When Chris bought his new Maxima in November, he really wanted the navigation system - but I didn't want to spend an extra $2000 for something I thought we wouldn't use. With DH's job, it's nice to actually have a GPS - SO, I went out and bought him a portable GPS. He can use it in any car and I can use it in my van =)... double bonus!! I'm sure the boys are making something for daddy in school/preschool....
We always make something for daddy on special days.... I'll have to think about it. We have closing day ceremonies for baseball on Father's day... go figure!!
A nice photo in a picture frame of our little one is always a great idea. I know those are always my husband's favorite, though he appreciates video games too. :)

i go to PersonalizationMall.com for gifts. i found a great wooden frame on there that i had personalized with Daddy and Rhett. He loved it and keeps it on his desk at work. I have ordered from them several times and have been pleased each time.
I got dh a collage of pictures last year and he DID love it! I second that. This year, I'm going to design a 3 photo collage again. I'll see if I can post it here in a minute. This year I also went to Color Me Mine (it's a chain I think), painted a big plate and had Lexa and Hayden's hand prints on it, and I wrote We "Heart" Daddy. they'll bake it/glaze it and the paint was non-toxic. He can put it in his office :) (just tried... i guess i can't post a picture here on comment. I'll do it in a separate link)
NingNing...love the hand paint idea! I may try that since Barry will be moving into an office next year, that will be a great gift for him! Nice creativity:)
Also, someone mentioned having a specific arts adn crafts topic...love that idea. I cant think of any really good arts and crafts for 11 month olds. I made a cute footprint craft for valentines day...but havent had any creative juices flowing since then!
